PLANOS CATASTRALES, ¿qué son y para qué se utilizan?

Todo Municipio tiene su Dirección de Catastro cuya finalidad es tener un inventario o padrón de todos los inmuebles que se encuentren dentro de su límite municipal. Cada inmueble tiene su expediente referenciado con una clave catastral única, en este expediente existe información escrita y gráfica, ésta última siendo a través de  Planos Catastrales . Alguna vez ha escuchado este término, ya sea por alguna transacción inmobiliaria (compra-venta, escrituración, prescripción, etc.) o como requisito para solicitar una licencia de construcción.
